Behind the villa there is the Salto di Tiberio (Tiberius’ leap), a cliff where, as story goes, the Emperor threw misbehaving subjects into the sea. A walk down Via Matermania brings you to Arco Naturale, a rock with an arch formed by the sea.

Capri Villa Damecuta is situated near Anacapri and show us Greek columns made of Greek marble, marble floors, stucco work, medieval tower and various pieces of art. The ruins are surrounded by a pine grove and views of the sea.

Capri Villa San Michele is to the north east of Anacapri, 327 metres above sea level. There are ruins of an ancient Roma Imperial Villa preserved by Axel Munthe and are now found in the garden. San Michele was Munthe’s home from 1896 to 1910 and its fanciful architecture, created by him, served as a perfect location for his various collections and also to complement the beauty of the scenery. There are Roman, Etruscan and Egyptian objects as well as the Tavolo cosmatesco, the marble bust of Emperor Tiberius and an Egyptian sphinx. In the garden there are typical Mediterranean plants and from terrace there is an exquisite view of the Gulf of Naples.
